Filling Spaces—Federico Picci
A digital artist and pianist studying in Florence, Italy has created a thought-provoking photo series. Federico Picci set out to demonstrate visually how music fills a space aurally in his series "Filling Spaces."
Within a nearly empty room containing not much more than a piano or a chair or a phonograph, Picci has added whimsical pink bubbles in a variety of sizes.
"I tried to show how something immaterial like music can fill the room with beauty," he is quoted as saying. Music as immaterial is a debatable concept, as it often feels quite tangible, but Picci shows us what he means in his series.
Enjoy—and imagine what music might produce pink bubbles.
